- BEE Athletic Boosters Projects
Bleachers and Concession stands were painted. Old Stadium and High School stadium areas were cleaned up and overgrown brush areas near the stands were cut down.
Concession Stands: New project turned over to the BEE Boosters this year. Linda Hagen is managing it, which has generated approximately $8,000 so far this year in the fall sports programs. There is now a Pepsi cooler at the Old Stadium stand.
We want all teams involved in running events - need to determine how teams that volunteer for events share in the funds.
Golf Outing: Dave Schlabig once again organized a very successful golf outing - the largest in the last five years. Items to note include: Generated approximately $15,000 in revenue, thanks to the 26 foursomes who participated, dinner sponsors, hole sponsors and putting contest sponsor. Special thanks to the Golf Team members who attended and volunteered.
Next year's event is tentatively scheduled for August 22, 2007.
Next year Golf Outing needs (Joe Kosek) - More women golfers, administrative volunteer for signs and email lists, sales oriented person to solicit more sponsors and shotgun start would get the outing to an entertainment level event.
- New Business
Middle School - Andy Fisher will be acting Athletic Director while Maria is on maternity leave.
Homecoming Bonfire - Mark Wirkus and Sergio DiGeronimo cut down three poles at Old Stadium to start preparations to bring back the Homecoming Bonfire run by Student Council.
- Adjournment
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m. by Mark Wirkus. The next BEE Athletic Boosters meeting will be at 7:00 p.m. on October 2, 2006 in the High School Media Center.
